One year of Barraca: We celebrate our first anniversary in Barceloneta
There are anniversaries that are experienced with emotion, with the taste of what has been achieved and with our eyes set on everything that is to come.

There are anniversaries that are celebrated with emotion, with the joy of what has been achieved and our eyes set on all that is yet to come. That's how we've experienced this first year of Barraca, our restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the Passeig Marítim in Barceloneta. A year full of flavor, unforgettable rice dishes, shared toasts, and a commitment to a cuisine that speaks to our land, our people, and our way of understanding food.

Twelve months, and a thousand unique moments
Since we opened the doors of Barraca, our intention was clear: to offer a quality Mediterranean gastronomic experience in such a privileged location as the Barcelona coast. The goal was clear: not just to cook well, but to do so with meaning. We focus on seasonal, local produce, a menu that respects the seasons of the land and sea, and a team that shares our passion for well-made cuisine.
Over these past twelve months, many of you have joined us. We've served countless dishes, filled our rooms with laughter, gatherings, lunches in the sun, and candlelit dinners. Each visit has been a chapter in this story we're writing together. And this anniversary could not be any different.
A celebration with the flavor of the Mediterranean
Last April, we celebrated our first anniversary the best way we know how: by cooking. We organized a very special cooking demonstration where rice took center stage. Our kitchen was filled with intense aromas and carefully crafted textures. We served recipes that are now part of our identity, such as octopus rice, surf and mountain rice, and beef with bone marrow and candied piquillo peppers.


There was no shortage of lobster croquettes, our razor clams with toasted lemon, or cocktails to toast what we've experienced and what's to come. It was a unique day, spent among friends and food lovers, where we shared the essence of who we are.
A restaurant and a way of being
Barraca is much more than a place to eat well. It's a statement of intent. Our group philosophy is evident in every dish, in every choice: honesty, sustainability, and passion for the product.

Since opening, we've worked with local suppliers, committed to environmentally responsible practices, and carefully curated every space so that our guests feel like they've arrived somewhere special. Our restaurant has two floors overlooking the sea: a ground floor designed for more relaxed meals, and an upper floor offering a more intimate and relaxed experience, ideal for those who come to enjoy with all their senses.
Barraca's design speaks the same language as our kitchen: wood, earthy colors, natural light, and a Mediterranean-inspired decor. Every corner is designed to enhance the experience not only in the dish, but in everything that surrounds it.
