A year at Barraca: we celebrated our first anniversary in Barceloneta

There are anniversaries that are celebrated with emotion, with a sense of accomplishment and with an eye on everything that lies ahead. That's how we celebrated the first year of Barraca, our restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the Passeig Marítim in Barceloneta. A year full of flavors, unforgettable rice dishes, shared toasts, and a commitment to cuisine that speaks of our land, our people, and our way of understanding restaurants.

Twelve months and a thousand unique moments
Since we opened the doors of Barraca, our intention has been clear: to offer a high-quality Mediterranean dining experience in a location as privileged as the Barcelona coast. The proposal was clear: not only to cook well, but also to do so with meaning. We are committed to offering local, seasonal products, a menu that respects the seasons of the sea and the land, and surrounding ourselves with a team that shares our passion for good cooking.
Over the past twelve months, many of you have accompanied us. We have served countless dishes and filled our rooms with laughter, gatherings, lunches in the sun, and candlelit dinners. Each visit has been a chapter in this story that we are writing together. And this anniversary could not be any less significant.
A celebration of Mediterranean flavors
Last April, we celebrated our first year in business doing what we know best: cooking. We organized a very special cooking show where rice was the star of the show. Our kitchen was filled with intense aromas and refined textures. We served recipes that are already part of our identity, such as octopus rice, sea and mountain rice, and veal rice with marrow and candied piquillo peppers.


Lobster croquettes, our grilled lemon knives, and cocktails to toast what has been experienced and what is to come were also present. It was a unique day, among friends and lovers of good food, during which we shared the essence of who we are.
A restaurant and a way of life
Barraca is much more than just a place to enjoy good food. It is a statement of intent. Our philosophy as a group is evident in every dish and every decision: honesty, sustainability, and passion for the product.

Since opening, we have worked with local suppliers, committed to environmentally friendly practices, and taken care of every space so that our guests feel they have arrived at a special place. Our restaurant has two floors overlooking the sea: a ground floor designed for more casual dining, and an upper floor that offers a more intimate and relaxed experience, ideal for those who come to enjoy with all their senses.
The design of Barraca speaks the same language as our cuisine: wood, earthy colors, natural light, and décor that exudes the Mediterranean. Every corner is designed so that the experience is not only on the plate, but in everything that surrounds it.
