The restaurant "Tierra" opened its doors on Thursday evening at Barcelona's Ninot market with a party attended by personalities from the worlds of gastronomy and fashion.
The director of operations, Guillem Mitats, explained that after taking over the management of the restaurant "Agua and now the restaurant "Tierra," he had another project to set up at the Palau de Mar in the city.
Le "Tierra," located inside the Mercat del Ninot, draws inspiration from the market to offer local, fresh produce in a space with different environments covering more than 400 square meters, which can accommodate 149 people and aims to offer "quality at an affordable price," said Mitats. Thus, there is a relaxation area at the entrance, a snack bar, and a dining room that transforms into a lounge with live music and DJs at night.
The concept of the venue is twofold: during the day, it is a restaurant for a quick drink or a full meal; in the afternoon and evening, it offers tapas and cocktails in a modified setting, with lighting options and a retractable roof.
During the inauguration, live musical performances took place, in addition to Mr. Dripping, an artist who paints without touching the canvas with a brush and who painted three paintings using the body painting technique.
