Reopening of the historic Barraca de la Barceloneta rice market

The legendary rice restaurant Barraca returns with a bang to Barceloneta. On April 23, coinciding with the celebration of Sant Jordi in Barcelona, the establishment launches its new concept from the Som essència restaurant group .

Barraca, a long-established restaurant on the seafront, has been acquired by the company and completely renovated. According to Alex Mitats, executive director of the group, speaking to Metropolis, the premises and the menu have undergone a complete overhaul, although the decision has been taken to retain the historic essence of the establishment.
