The historic Barraca de la Barceloneta rice restaurant reopens
The establishment, specializing in seafood, reemerges with a new concept by the Barcelona-based group Somos Esencia.
The legendary Barraca rice restaurant makes a strong comeback in Barceloneta. On April 23, coinciding with the celebration of Sant Jordi in Barcelona, the establishment launches its new concept with the help of the restaurant group We are Essence.
El Barraca, a place on the seafront that has a long history, has been acquired by the company and has been completely renovated. As Alex Mitats, executive director of the group, explained to Metropolis, a comprehensive reform of the premises and the menu has been carried out, although he has decided to maintain the historical essence of the establishment.
