The historic rice restaurant Barraca in Barceloneta reopens its doors
The establishment, specializing in seafood, reappears with a new concept from the Barcelona-based group Somos Esencia.
The legendary Barraca rice restaurant is making a comeback in Barceloneta. On April 23, coinciding with the celebration of Sant Jordi in Barcelona, the establishment is launching its new concept with the help of the restaurant group Nous sommes Essence.
Barraca, a seaside location with a long history, was acquired by the company and completely renovated. As Alex Mitats, the group's executive director, explained to Metropolis, a comprehensive overhaul of the premises and menu was carried out, although he decided to preserve the historic essence of the establishment.
